Akber Datoo is the Founder and CEO of D2 Legal Technology (D2LT), a legal data consultancy that helps firms unlock business value through legal and technological change. With over 25 years of experience in investment banking as both a lawyer and technologist, he is a prominent expert operating at the intersection of fintech and legaltech. His authority in the field is demonstrated by numerous Financial Times awards, his advisory role to financial regulators on digital assets, his position on the Law Society’s Technology Reform Committee, and as the author of the textbook “Legal Data – Banking & Finance”.

Rachel is an internationally experienced financial services lawyer specialising in data, AI, regulation and derivatives, having joined D2 Legal Technology in 2019 to head up their Asia-Pacific business. Previous experience includes Goldman Sachs, consulting for Peerpoint by Allen & Overy, a commercial role at Challenger, and General Counsel at ASX 100 Australian fund manager Magellan Financial Group. Expertise in derivatives, LIBOR, investment management, regulatory reform, life insurance and developing technology solutions for legal processes.

Simon is a managing consultant and lawyer at D2 Legal Technology, specialising in digital assets, smart contracts, and AI. He joined in 2021 from a US investment bank to lead the digital agenda for capital markets. He holds degrees from the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford and recently completed a data science program at MIT. He was named one of ISDA’s Future Leaders in Derivatives in 2023.

Dr Kion Ahadi is the Chief Executive Officer of LegaMart, a global legal tech platform expanding access to cross-border legal services across more than 120 countries. With over 20 years of senior leadership experience spanning legal, technology, and public-service organisations, he is recognised for operating at the intersection of AI, data, and legal innovation.

He has previously held executive roles at the Law Society, where he led digital transformation and AI adoption for the legal profession, and at the National Lottery Heritage Fund, where he spearheaded a £7m transformation programme. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director at Datacube, an AI and data consultancy, and as a board member at Gateway Housing, advising on governance, risk, and digital strategy.

A published author and international speaker, his expertise covers AI governance, legal technology, and digital transformation, with recent contributions including Humanity Reimagined in the Age of AI (forthcoming) and projects on AI ethics, neurotechnology, and lawtech adoption.

An accomplished Financial Services leader with extensive global experience in Investment Banking and Prime Services. I specialise in strategic change, process re-engineering, and product innovation, with deep expertise in complex derivatives, collateral management, and Tokenisation/Blockchain (e.g., JPM Onyx DLT). I partner with C-Level stakeholders to simplify complex global challenges, driving large-scale transformation like the successful Global UMR regulatory implementation at Barclays.
